Steps
- 1Create a YouTube account if you have not done so already. Click here.
- 2Upload videos regularly to YouTube; one a week is good enough.
- 3Become successful on YouTube. A decent number of your videos should have thousands of views each. There isn't a set limit but a good benchmark would be to have at least 1000 subscribers and over 100,000 upload views.
- 4Interact with your subscribers. YouTube wants to see that there are comments on your videos, and an interaction going back and forth between you and your viewers.
- 5Apply to the YouTube partners program by clicking here. Fill out the application completely, honestly, and putting yourself in a good light. The final decision can take anywhere from 1 day to a month, depending on your availability.

Tips
- Every time you upload a video, ask yourself if this complies with the Terms of Use and if the video is good.
- If you do not make it, don't be discouraged. Keep trying until you become a partner!
- It is best to have around 100,000 overall video views before you apply, since you can only apply to the partner program every 2 months anyways. If you have a few videos with a lot of views, that would be a good example of a partner's channel. Many videos with few views are not getting to that many people, which doesn't make you eligible for the program.
Warnings
- Be aware that it can take months for YouTube to process your application for partnership.
- Avoid uploading videos with copyrighted content or music that you did not create yourself. (A good way to get around this is to use royalty free music.)
- Not all countries can apply to become a YouTube Partner.
